HOUSING
Mavrick understands that without safe, stable, and affordable housing, other qualities of life —education, health, and opportunity—suffer. Mavrick will bring his experience from the Massachusetts Office of Housing and Livable Communities to expand and strengthen programs that help our neighbors find, maintain, and improve their housing. He’s committed to ensuring everyone has access to a place they can truly call home.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Mavrick believes that every neighborhood in our city is rich with talent, resilience, and creativity. Yet too often, communities are overlooked when it comes to city resources and opportunities for growth. As City Councilor, Mavrick will work to change that—by fighting for equitable investment in local infrastructure, small businesses, and workforce development initiatives. He knows that when we uplift every corner of our city, we unlock the full potential of Boston. His vision is one where all neighborhoods in District 7—regardless of zip code—have the tools they need not just to survive, but to truly thrive.
EDUCATION
As a proud Boston Public Schools graduate, Mavrick knows firsthand the challenges students face. From student government at Charlestown High and Colby College to leading the Graduate Students of Color Collective at Northeastern University, he has amplified student voices and advocated for a more inclusive, supportive education. As City Councilor, Mavrick will continue fighting to ensure every child in District 7 receives the quality education they deserve and starting as early as Pre-K all the way through high school graduation. With the continued evolution of public education, Boston must lead the way in offering a high quality education for every BPS student..
TRANSPORTATION
As a lifelong Boston resident, Mavrick understands that a strong, reliable transit system is essential to opportunity and equity. District 7 residents deserve safe, accessible, and efficient transportation that connects them to jobs, schools, healthcare, and other essential services. Mavrick believes that transit planning must be community-led and guided by the voices of those who rely on it every day. As City Councilor, he will advocate for a transportation system that reflects the needs of our neighborhoods and ensures that no one is left behind—on the platform or in the process.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Mavrick believes District 7 deserves a City Councilor who leads with integrity and understands that justice and safety go hand in hand—they are not opposing ideals. As your City Councilor, he will champion a balanced, community-centered approach to public safety: one that addresses the root causes of crime through investments in education, economic opportunity, and mental health services, while also ensuring our first responders have the training, accountability, and resources they need to keep all residents safe. True public safety means every neighborhood feels protected, heard, and valued.
SUPPORTING BOSTON’S OLDER ADULTS
Mavrick believes that Boston’s older adults are a vital part of the city’s fabric, bringing wisdom, experience, and deep community roots that enrich us all. He is committed to ensuring they have access to the programs, resources, and services that reflect their unique and diverse needs. From affordable housing and accessible healthcare to social connection and mobility, Mavrick will prioritize policies that support their safety, well-being, and continued contributions to our city. They’ve given so much to Boston—now it’s our responsibility to give back.
